How long can I keep the dump trailer?
Our standard Drop-Off Dump Trailer Rental includes up to 2 days. If additional time is needed, contact us before the scheduled pickup to discuss availability and any additional charges.
Do I need a truck or tow vehicle?
No. That's one of the main benefits of our Drop-Off service. SJD delivers the trailer to you and picks it up when you're finished. You simply load it.
What can I put in the dump trailer?
Our trailers can be used for many common cleanup materials, including household junk, furniture, approved appliances, yard debris, and approved construction or remodeling debris. If you're unsure about a particular material, contact us before loading it.
What items are NOT allowed?
We do not accept hazardous materials such as chemicals, paint, asbestos, biohazardous waste, or other regulated/prohibited materials. Customers should confirm unusual materials with SJD before loading.
Can I use the trailer for construction debris?
Yes, approved construction and renovation debris can be accepted. However, heavy materials can reach the trailer's allowable weight limit before the trailer is physically full. Tell us what you're disposing of when requesting your quote so we can recommend the appropriate option.
Is there a weight limit?
Yes. Every trailer has weight and hauling limitations. The allowable amount depends on the type and weight of the material being loaded. Heavy materials such as concrete, dirt, brick, tile, roofing materials, or similar dense debris should be disclosed before the rental is confirmed.
Where can the trailer be placed?
The trailer must be placed in a safe, accessible location with adequate space for delivery and pickup. Driveways and other private-property locations may work depending on access and site conditions. Placement is subject to SJD approval.
Can you put the trailer on the street?
Street placement may be subject to local parking, permit, or right-of-way requirements. Customers should let us know in advance if they cannot accommodate the trailer on private property so placement requirements can be discussed before delivery.
Do you pick up and dispose of everything when I'm finished?
Yes. That's exactly how the Drop-Off service works: we deliver the trailer, you load it, and SJD returns to pick it up, haul it away, and handle appropriate disposal.
Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup?
Not necessarily, depending on the property and whether we have clear placement instructions and safe access. Delivery and pickup details can be confirmed when scheduling.
What happens if I need the trailer longer than 2 days?
Contact SJD as soon as possible. Extensions may be available subject to scheduling and additional charges and should be approved before the scheduled pickup.
How high can I load the trailer?
Materials should not extend above the trailer walls or be loaded in a way that makes transportation unsafe. The load must be safe and secure for pickup and transportation.
What happens if the trailer is overweight or contains prohibited materials?
Additional charges may apply for excess weight, special handling, prohibited materials, or other conditions outside the original quote. Certain materials may need to be removed before the trailer can be transported.
What areas do you deliver to?
SJD Junk Removal serves customers throughout the San Fernando Valley and surrounding areas of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. Availability and travel charges may vary depending on location.
